What this is
The Legacy Desk is a companion site for a YouTube channel that explains US estate-planning topics in plain English: wills, trusts, probate, beneficiaries and inheritance. Each video gets a page here with a summary, the key points, the sources behind them, and related checklists.
How episodes are made
- Every factual statement is traced to a source that was actually read, and sources are listed on each episode page.
- Each script is fact-checked against those sources before it is recorded.
- Examples use fictional families and figures.
- When a rule varies by state, the episode says so.
